Where are Bachca's Made in France brushes made? +
All three steps happen within about 40 kilometers. They're designed and prototyped in our Nantes studio, assembled by hand at our partner ESAT workshop near Blain, then quality-checked — and engraved, if you'd like — in our Nantes boutique.
What is an ESAT, and how does the partnership work? +
An ESAT is a French social-enterprise workshop that trains and employs adults with disabilities as professionals, with support and fair pay. We work with ours the way we'd work with any manufacturing partner: shared prototypes, agreed quality standards, ongoing production runs. The team there has assembled our brushes for years, and their craft is the reason the collection exists.
Will a Bachca brush really last years of daily use? +
Yes, with simple care. Lift out the hair caught in the bristles regularly, wash occasionally with a little mild soap, and air-dry bristles-down so no water sits in the wooden pad. Kept that way, a beechwood brush stays with you for years — many customers pass theirs on.
Is there a travel size? +
Yes — the Care & Shine and Universal Detangling brushes both come in a small format that fits a handbag or weekender, which is why their prices start "from". Choose the size on the product page.
Is the baby brush safe for newborns? +
It's made for them. The bristles are soft goat hair, gentle enough to pass over the fontanelle, and light brushing helps lift the flakes of cradle cap without irritating the scalp.
What is the shipping & return policy? +
Free US shipping on orders over $50. We gladly accept returns of unused items in their original packaging within 14 days of delivery. Note that personalized items are final sale and can't be returned or exchanged.
